Teen Programs Anime & Gaming Clubs NRPL offers clubs for of gaming and anime. The clubs meet on alternate Wednesdays at 4:00 pm in the library's first floor meeting room, and are open to teens in grades 7 - 12. "Gamer's Garrison" is gaming galore: we'll bring the PS3 and Wii, you bring the games; plus table space for card and RP gamers. "LibrAnime" is the library's anime and manga club, featuring anime screenings, manga swap, and lots of Japanese snacks! Seasonal Programs When school’s out during the summer, the library offers a cool retreat for free workshops—including cooking, dance, films, and other programs suggested by and for teens, entering grades 6–12. All are free and available on a drop-in basis, usually after 4:00 pm.
Summer Reading Programs and Activities A summer reading challenge lets students entering grades 7–12 read for their own enjoyment AND collect prizes, extra credit for school, and an invitation to an end-of-summer party. Sign-up at the end of June or beginning of July at the second floor information desk.  |
