summer reading game

When summer is here and school is no longer in session, that doesn't mean you have to stop reading. The New Rochelle Public Library (NRPL) kicks off its Summer Reading program each June. Join libraries across New York State in the summer reading fun. Parents will like to take note of the additional special programs offered throughout the summer at the library. Live shows, magicians, and arts and crafts, are just some of our summer fun opportunities. We encourage parents to become part of the reading program throughout July and August. Giving kids encouragement and access to books will help their reading achievement take flight.

Catch the Summer Reading Bug
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a bug? This summer NRPL is getting buggy with books in the children’s room. The New York State Summer reading theme is the wild world of bugs. Did you know our state insect is the ladybug?
