ESL Instruction Westchester Community College offers four levels of classes in English as a Second Language at the library, each season. Each level provides balanced instruction and active practice in all English language skills: listening, speaking (including pronunciation), standard grammar, reading, and writing. On scheduled registration days, new students take an examination to determine the level at which they begin study. Classes are free but students must purchase a textbook ($35). For more information call Westchester Community College at (914) 785-6656.
