Westchester
County,
and New York State. There are approximately 1500 books on such topics
as

Business and
Industry
and Transportation; Maps and Atlases;
Newspapers and Magazines.
The library also has a large Clippings File
of some 53,000 items, obtained from
local newspapers,
magazine clippings, New York Times items,
obituaries, local associations and art show programs, etc.
The New Rochelle Photograph Collection is made up of over
1,000
photographs donated
by Dominick Bruzzese,
the Huguenot-Thomas Paine Historical
Association,
and other private collectors.
In 1988, in celebration of
New Rochelle's Tricentennial,
these
photographs were
reproduced
on acid-free paper with funds provided
by a
Preservation of
Library Research
material.
These reproductions are filed in five
notebooks according
to
subject
(for example, churches, clubs, streets, business,
and the waterfront),
and are
located in the local history room.
