New Rochelle Public Library Local History Digital Collection
The New Rochelle Public Library maintains the largest repository
of archival materials and resources related to the community’s history.
It is the only collection of New Rochelle local history that is indexed
and fully accessible to the general public.

Davids Island/Fort Slocum Cultural Resources Digital Repository
Davids Island in New Rochelle, New York. From 1861 to 1965 the island
served our nation as a post of the U.S. Army.From 2004 to 2008 the
U.S. Congress authorized funds to demolish the remnants of the post
and prepare the island for a new use. This resource was created
to help preseve an important part of New Rochelle's local history
and our national heritage.
