Handelman Business Opportunity Center The Business Opportunity Center (BOC) opened in March 2002 and was created to meet the business information needs of the community. It was made possible by the generous efforts of the New Rochelle Public Library Foundation. Our information resources lend support to small entrepreneur business and those seeking employment opportunities. Our workstations offer career testing programs and employment information, as well as equipment for creating, reproducing and emailing resumes and applications.

Business and Employment Workshops Starting or growing a small business, entrepreneurship, career moves, preparing for an interview, and other relevant topics are addressed in helpful sessions conducted at various times of the year.
SCORE Free Small Business Help Free business counseling sessions are offered by SCORE WESTCHESTER on Monday evenings from 6:00 to 7:45 pm, (except for holidays) on the second floor of the library. The sessions are geared for those interested in starting their own small business or already running a business but in need of help or fresh ideas. SCORE volunteer counselors assist with information and resources on financing options, business strategy, marketing tactics, product development, cash flow, management and more. The sessions are on a drop-in basis or by appointment by calling 948-3907.
